I would get given this camera more stars, simply the waterproofing is horrible. The pictures and video are decent, only won’t win any awards. Good decent for vacation snapshots. The waterproofing is another story. I employed the camera with no problems until the first time I brought it into a pool. Subsequently 5 Samsung AQ100RD Waterproof minutes, the LCD screen fogged up and the camera stopped working. The battery and USB connector doors were tightly closed, but it wasn’t decent to keep moisture from getting into the camera. I had exclusively utilized the camera for 2 days and hadn’t involved it to the beach yet, thence there was no sand or soil in the door seals. One daylight in the sunshine in a bag of rice, revived the camera, simply3 immediately there is a permanent smudge on the lens in the lower properly and the focus motor makes occasional clicking noises. The focus yet works, simply7 the smudge makes the camera useless. I bought this because it was half the cost of other waterproof cameras, simply9 clearly, Samsung hasn’t gotten that decently yet. Since the lens is internal and everything else is water RESISTANT, this camera is great if you desire to usage it in the rain, or at the beach, with no worries of water or sand messing up an external lens, only4 forget virtually locomoting under water with it. Fortunately, I was within Amazon’s 30 daylight return period and they agreed to accept it back. I will exist looking for another under water camera. Plausibly the Olympus or the Panasonic. Virtually people look to purchase the blue, which straightaway makes some signified to me. I bought the reddened because I believed it would exist easier to see if it sank to the undersurface of some body of water, but in some of the pictures, I’ve noticed an orange haze to the right incline of the image, especially if I’m in smart-auto mode. I’ve not noticed it in other modes. I’m not positive, but I suspect it may get something to do with a colour cast from the camera.In other modes, however, it appears to have bully pictures. I’ve been utilizing an olympus for years and was never satisfied with the flick quality. Merely the samsung is a significant improvement, particularly outdoors. I’ve solely owned the camera for two weeks. I’ve postulated flash photography indoors, and noticed that it does well when the bailiwick is up close, simply not so substantially when further away. I’ve also asked it on a white water kayaking trip and about (not all) of the pictures arrived away clear, vibrant, and in focus.The video is great. The film and healthy are both clear. I’ve not noticed any noise when zooming in/out during video. Stabilization isn’t also utilitarian though.
