When I bought the 6242 it was 50 dollars more expensive than the 6870 and the upgraded video card seemed worthwhile. Since then Amazon has spent the cost of the 6870 which is now approximately 150 dollars less expensive. I have not applied or compared the 6870 just did utilisation a Toshiba Portege which uses the same intel video chip as the 6870 and while the 6242 had in my ruling a amend video ikon than the Toshiba, if I were doing it over, I would not pay an additional $150 for the 6242.
That being realise as mud, I did compare hands on the Toshiba Portege 13.3 in screen computer, the Sony S and the Acer 6242. I likewise looked at the specs for the Asus 13.3 computers. I did not want to spend $1000 which removed completely the sexy really slim Acer and Asus computers. I bought this laptop for school & thus far it looks similar a good peck Acer AS5560-Sb256 for the money I paid for it. Microsoft Spot Starter 2010 comes on it & isn’t a trial, thence that was a plus. I searched and searched and searched and stumbled on this laptop. There are a portion of good features, which is just what I was look for if I was moving to spend a gang of money at all. There is some bloatware, but not a portion at all. The solely ground I’m bountiful 4/5 stars is because of the webcam. It’s good quality, simply when my boyfriend & I are on instant messenger he says it constantly messes up and the picture goes altogether black. Overall, however, I’m extremely happy with this laptop. The macbook detected it, necessitated if I wanted to install and viola i was able to print. It just does therefore many things easy than the pc and I didn’t consider it would. The battery MD322LL/A liveliness is not as swell as claimed merely I expected that being an iphone, ipad user apple perpetually exaggerates battery life. it does have hot and fan can exist loud, but i believe the reviews that gripe almost8 that aren’t factoring in that entirely laptops are similar that, it’s not merely1 a symptom of the macbook.
